Bio
As CTO, Mancini supervises a staff of 500 who provide technology services and leadership for 86 agencies, 39,000 employees and more than 600,000 residents and businesses in the nation’s capital.
Mancini has served OCTO in multiple capacities since coming to the agency in January 2003. As manager of OCTO’s Citywide Messaging and Directory Services Program, he lead the consolidation of multiple, fragmented, antiquated e-mail platforms into a unified, high-performing e-mail system serving city government staff. In 2010, Mancini was named Deputy CTO for Infrastructure, in charge of the District’s state-of-the-art technology infrastructure comprising data centers, applications servers, e-mail infrastructure, web infrastructure and the District’s award-winning high-speed fiber-optic network, DC-Net.
Before joining OCTO, Mancini served in technology leadership capacities for major firms such as British Aerospace/BAE Systems and America Online.
